Welcome to the open air museum. This is the birthplace of Renaissance ideas, and also of Michelengelo and Leonardo Da Vinci. This city has an absolutely incredible atmosphere.

Since the city is small, you can reach anywhere by walking, recommend to travel without using cars. My plan was to stay here one day. But museums and places were so many that I suggest you spend at least two days here even though the city is small. If you are planning a totally cultural trip, let me remind you that there are more than 75 museums. Entrance to the museums starts from at least 15 €. If you have time, you can buy it from Firenze Card, which is sold for 85 €, and go to the museum you want for 72 hours http://www.firenzecard.it/en

The most famous square of the city is Piazza della Signoria. Here you can see a replica of Michelengelo’s statue of David, the Persus Statue and many more. The original statue of David is on exhibition at Academia. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to see Duomu and Uffizi Palace in all its glory.

Another symbol of this region is the Vecchio bridge. This bridge was built by the Medici Family on the river Arno in the 14th century. Souvenirs and jewelry are sold inside. There was an incredible crowd even in September. Let’s guess how it will be in the summer. The most expected moment in a day that I devoted to Florence was to go to Uffizi Palace. Initially, there were some question marks in my mind because of the museum entrance fee of 22 €, such a breathtaking place, once you see the masterpieces inside, you will experience a great astonishment.

Uffizi Palace was considered as a place where the management of the city gathered from one place, its construction started in 1560 and completed after 21 years. It was later converted into a museum. Among the most important museums in the world … Who does not have works here? Botticelli, Giton, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo and many more masters… Being able to take a closer look at these works made 7 centuries ago really puts people in a very different atmosphere.

Another popular area like the Uffizi Museum is Pitti Palace. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to visit this palace, because it was the closing time of the museums until I finished Uffizi. I regretted not seeing the botanical garden inside Pitti Palace, but there was nothing to do.

At this point, I realized that; one museum really is enough a day. As someone who loves to walk, I remember that I had to sit now. I did not even think of eating from visiting museums and historical streets. Whether I drink coffee, eat, eat wine, visit a museum in a beautiful street… You don’t realize how time passes. Italy is such a place.

Now that my body’s forced eating and warnings became more evident, I ate pizza and tasted wine in a shabby pizza shop near the Piti Palace. Then, of course, coffee.

The place to stay here was a hostel called Hostel Archi Rossi. I gave 26 € per night. When this place is a very pleasant and clean place, your pleasure increases even more when you watch Florentine from its balcony. When I entered the hostel, I enjoyed buying a bottle of wine and a glass. How beautiful you were Florence…
